Classification of flake graphite according to fixed carbon content

Flake graphite is a natural solid lubricant with layered structure, which is abundant and cheap. Flake graphite crystal integrity, thin sheet and good toughness, excellent physical and chemical properties, with good high temperature resistance, electric, heat conduction, lubrication, plastic and acid and alkali resistance.

According to the national standard GB/T 3518-2008, flake graphite can be divided into four categories according to the fixed carbon content. According to the product particle size, fixed carbon content is divided into 212 brands.

1, high purity graphite (fixed carbon content is greater than or equal to 99.9%) is mainly used for flexible graphite sealing material, instead of platinum crucible for chemical reagent melting and lubricant base material;

2, high carbon graphite (fixed carbon content 94.0% ~ 99.9%) is mainly used in refractory materials, lubricant base material, brush raw materials, carbon products, battery raw materials, pencil raw materials, filling materials and coatings;

3, carbon graphite (fixed carbon content of 80% ~ 94%) is mainly used for crucible, refractory materials, casting materials, casting paint, pencil raw materials, battery raw materials and dyes;

4, low carbon graphite (fixed carbon content is greater than or equal to 50.0% ~ 80.0%) is mainly used for casting coating.

It can be seen that the test accuracy of fixed carbon content has a direct impact on the determination basis of scale graphite grading. As the leading enterprise of lacey flake graphite production and processing, Furuite graphite has the obligation to continuously improve its production capacity and experience, to provide customers with high quality products. Welcome customers to inquire, or visit guidance to negotiate.
